For herbicides, in-crop spraying of only weeds has got to be the primary driver. The reduction in herbicide use is substantial and I can see the government pushing this hard. Therefore, whichever technology economically gets there first (ground or drone) wins the majority of application methods.
When will drone spraying become the norm?
