Great timing on this. We had a discussion last night about how a certain pizza take-out establishment in a small town sees increased Pizza orders when the winter weather arrives. Hot melted cheese with crispy pepperoni on a thin crust dough is mighty appeasing on cold winter nights.

For home cooked, potato soup sure fits in nice. Yes beef stew is comforting. Since the wind was playing a little nicer I got out on the patio and grilled burgers. I didn’t expect the meat to cook so fast with it being that extreme cold outside. Surprised us all.

Chili and cornbread this time of year fits like a hand in a glove. And hot n spicy white queso cheese along with homemade refried beans (a little lard or bacon drippings for flavoring) and mild tomato based salsa (thin restaurant style) served on fresh, crispy tortilla chips. Can I mention that thin crust takeout pepperoni pizza again? Ha
