I guess selling hope to terminal cancer patients is not a bad thing. It's great to hear about possible success stories, but Dr Philips did not mention how many participants if any have died during his trial so far. It will be interesting to see the final results whenever they are published.

Dad was diagnosed with a GBM and given almost no chance of surviving even 6 months. Dads brain surgery went well, he worked with Mayo surgeons and the Coburns Cancer Center to remove all but about 10% of his GBM. It is my understanding it is impossible to remove all of a GBM without killing or seriously incapacitating the patient because of where and how the GBM becomes embedded in the brain tissue and how much brain tissue is removed with the GBM. Dad was not the "same" after brain surgery...not even close. If he/we had the opportunity to do it all over again he/we would probably not opt for surgery.

About three to four weeks after surgery when treatment was just beginning, Dads GBM and/or possibly his first treatment caused a stroke which paralyzed one entire side of his body and ended his ability to swallow much of anything but ice chips. If a person wanted to, they could say that a 5 day fast was dad's ultimate cause of death....

There is really nothing to lose (except maybe some weight) adopting a keto diet and if adopting a keto diet "cures" cancer in the process of losing some weight...that would be a pretty nice bonus.
