Subject: RE: RTK phase out

Clinton County, Michigan
From a technology standpoint, RTK bases aren't going away. With short baselines (several miles) an RTK base is a little better accuracy than SF-RTK. For vertical work, a base station in the field is still the only way to go.
Now the question is if the local dealer plans to decommission/turn off their own dealer network of towers in 2 years time? I don't think it would be feasible to believe all those customers that pay subscription to those towers would have upgraded every RTK unit to a SF7000 in just 2 years. Especially since a year ago the availability on new hardware was slim to none.
