FAA controls the airspace from the tip of the blade of grass to the edge of space.

Toy RC airplanes need to have reg numbers, RID device, and pilot test.

The only exemption would maybe be teathered flight with an actual cable or fiber optic strand. How well is that going to work in corn with a cable getting snagged on everything.




I was wondering about tethered flight a while back and came across Part 101, even some balloons and kites are under FAA rules.
