East of Broken Bow | I agree, show bulls don't seem to last to a very old age around here. Grew up on too rich of feed.
That said, I'd probably say 4, 5, and 1 would be my picks, but they are so close as to not really matter much.
Way back when I was in school and we learned cattle judging, I was told that the loins were the top cut of meat, so all else being equal, you want the animal with the largest loins. Without seeing a top view, #4 appears to have the longest loins from what I can tell (length from the shoulders to the hips) but he also may just look a little longer due to being a little leaner. 4 doesn't have the largest rump but also roasts aren't as valuable as loins.
Again, very close, and just my preference for what I would put on my cows. You may prefer something different on your cows. | |
