Buying open cows at the sale barn to put on grass with a bull. I would not do it. They are there for a reason. Buying cows like that would really only make sense if you had a bunch of silage or some other feed that needed to be used up and they could be fattened up easily. You wouldn't need to worry so much about BRD like you would with a group of calves.
