Subject: RE: Buyer Beware John Deere G5+ Displays

Northern Indiana
As if the stolen and hacked activation displays and receiver's weren't enough to worry about; Yet another reason to have a JD dealer run every serial number..

Both the G5 Plus Display and StarFire 7000/7500 GPS Receiver are supposed to get a small "PA Essentials" sticker on the back side of them near the main serial number
As you can imagine, it's either not understood by most, or that fraudsters are taking the sticker off

Deere really messed up not doing a complete different serial number on these Precision Ag Essentials Essentials software subscription displays

My understanding continues to be there is no restriction on the 7000/7500 receivers in terms of what display they are used with, no subcription required, able to be activated to RTK Permanent, etc
Someone please post here if above statement proven wrong

They are perhaps keeping the 7000 globe and reselling the g5 or selling both.

From previous posts on this website the 7000 globe in this essentials package has no identifiable marking or serial number change to mark as a “essential package” purchase.

The original purchaser and assuming they are the consigner would know this g5 is listed incorrectly and is being bid/purchased at too high a market value.

Edit
Same consigner has 2 7000 selling.
