| Just went to a land auction last week. Three parcels mostly farmland plus three pasture ground. It was held at the local community center and the room was mostly full of people who had the means and desire to buy some or all. At the end of the day six people added to their significant land holdings, and several got outbid that day. But the take home for me was that each of the purchasers are strong enough that they will be back next time looking for more and the few that got outbid are still in the market for the next one. With that much interest in investing in land, coupled with an extreme short supply of available land, it still seems like a seller’s market to me.
