Seriously too many years of getting up to milk cows and or making sure dairy running smooth at 1 a.m. Had to have milking done and cooled for 4 a.m. pickup. Also had to change irrigation water at 5:30 a.m.
So it's a bad sleep pattern I can't break. It's my time to read, do paperwork. Also my wife leaves for work at 5 a.m. So when calving heifers I take checks after 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. hopefully my sons never get bad sleep patterns.
