I have had pretty good luck with speed rite brand insulators of various styles, mostly the combination insulators that will either snap on a steel t post but also have screw holes to attach to wood posts. I typically use torx head wood screws to attach to wood. Most of the insulators and other hardware I bought from Kencove in 2006 for an equip project has held up well.
