In Missouri workmen’s comp is not mandatory for farmers , but if your farm carries it on its workers , it would be my advise to make sure any contractor you hire to do work on your farm has workmen’s comp or your provider will try to make you pay a premium covering them and I can assure you it won’t be easy not paying it
