It's not too late! There are still independent breeders. Check out BASS Hybrids (Danube, MN), Summit Genetics (Carroll, IA) , and O'Brien Hybrids (Brooklyn WI). This is not a complete list, but all three of these companies do their own genetic development and are not dependent on the bigger companies for material.
