| Devil's advocate: If confirmed pregnant once why check again, do you get that many that show up open at 90-100 days? If just a few long as they are milking good why worry about it? If one is bulling then you know she is open, bump the calf at dry off if no calf you cull her. If you wish to confirm pregnancy with a milk test I would wait till bred 5-6 months so if they kicked a calf up to 120 days it gives time for progesterone levels to drop. I have had one show open in October and drop a calf in April, could have been an error on our part numbering the bottle or in the lab samples got mixed up or who knows what happened. | |
