Subject: Traited vs non-traited corn

EC Illinois
How are guys deciding what traits to plant this year? With low prices my instinct is to be cautious of expense and plant non gmo corn. Above ground trait corn would need to yield 6 1/2 bushel better than conventional in order to break even. Triple stack would have to yield a little more than 4 1/2 bushels better to break even compared to only above ground traits. With this mild winter, I get concerned at the prospect of planting non traited corn but I have been told it shouldn't be too much of a concern. How do you guys handle these sort of decisions? All ground is rotated, so no corn on corn. I also have not seen any corn root worm beetles in the last year or two. Most of my farms are below average for East Central Illinois standards.
