You need to find a new conventional corn supplier. It should be much more than $60 cheaper per unit than above ground. Above ground protection (trait royalty only) runs about $150-160 per unit from Bayer.

You're in Illinois. Call Martin seed. Owner is former Bayer who is very much in the know.


I priced them out and it was pretty high. idk if you are misunderstanding my post, but conventional corn was between 150 and 190 from my guys


Check out Ag Performance if you are looking for conventional corn, that is literally all the specialize on the corn side of things. I've got mine this year for $170 here in WC OH. Also have a customer that was planting it against the big P the last couple of years and yielded the same and in most cases better, needless to say he isn't planting any more Pioneer because of that factor, plus it was $40-50 cheaper. Makes total financial sense in that case.
