I tried everything to get it to be consitent for years and it drove me crazy.
The end-gate seeder wide open is a near perfect 7.5 lbs. of alfalfa so I split the middles and have 15 pounds. I have had good stands of OG mixing it in the oats.
I would like to find a more accurate (re the grass) and timely method, but this has worked well for years.
