Tractors now, if they're brand new or just a couple years old, come with integrated receivers. You do have to get activations, and they stay with the tractor for it's life.
You can get a front mount bracket to bolt on where the receiver mounts were on older tractors, and keep using the receivers you have.
Same with internal displays. Activation does stay with the tractor for life, non-transferable.
That's what we did. Our 8R's came with integrated receivers, but we put the center brackets on and kept using our existing 3000's with RTK. We wanted the ability to easily move RTK to the sprayer and combine. The 3000 receivers mounded on the center bracket do stick up a bit adding height to the tractor and look a bit out of place. The 7000's are much lower, so that should help.
When Deere had their receiver trade in program, we traded in our two 3000's with radios along with the integrated 6000 receivers that were in the cabs of the 8R's. Figured that if we aren't going to use the integrated ones, we might as well get rid of them and put that money towards the 7000 receivers.
