McCanna, ND | Last time dad grew it he unfortunately lucked out in what could/should have been a bad situation. It was like 1lb low on TW so the dock was bad and kind of hard amber color. He did a lot of hunting and found an elevator sitting on a pile of high TW good color durum, he sold it with no discounts basically to that elevator. If they wouldn’t have bought it im thinking it would have been $1.50-2 minimum discount elsewhere and it wasn’t that bad of durum.
However if it works for you and you’re comfortable with it go for it. I can raise way better conventional rye then spring wheat which should be impossible according to most. | |
