| I’ve got a 100’ x 40’ open shed with a concrete lot out front. The 100’ runs north south, and it’s open to the east. On the west side of the barn it’s got three 4’x5’ or so windows that slide open up at the very top of the wall, probably 15’ from the ground. On the north and south ends it’s got 12’x12’ sliding doors.
This barn is new to me and I am also new to feeding cattle. With the weather getting warmer I’m trying to figure out how to best open up the barn on nice days to keep fresh air moving through and without blowing the roof off the place.
Prevailing wind is from the west, and there is nothing but farm fields for a square mile so the wind whips through pretty good.
How would you recommend I approach opening and closing each of these doors. Wondering if I should leave something open all the time, or certain ones open according to the wind direction, air temps, rain/no rain etc..
Thanks in advance.
