Will depend some on how many head you are going to put in the shed, shed height, and bunk space. We would have about 200 in a shed that size with a decent lot out front and outside bunks.

I second the open ridge. Built our sheds with a 12 inch open ridge. Also have a 6 inch gap that is always open at the top of the back walls just under the roof steel. Had a 5 foot curtain below that we would open in April or so and leave open till October. Generally with cattle too much ventilation is better than not enough.
