East Central, Nebraska | i have not done it but have helped people that have. considered doing one of my own but have not yet. we have a few on our farm, one is and others are not.
i think the big question is how much volume are you going to be moving? if your putting on a bunch of lime and have a 20 belt/chain then that is a whole different ball game than a 8 inch chain putting on a couple hundred pounds of fertilizer. the one i have for lime has a rawson par2 on it, it is a lime/fertilizer spreader. the one that i want to do down the road here i am planning on using an old hyd drive off a planter. big difference in price. | |
