Long horn display upside down?

Longhorn horns can grow any which direction and I'm not sure what causes them to do so. I think that particular set could be considered right side up due to the tips being pointed "up" . In reality though, they can go any which direction.

If my memory serves me correctly. I'm pretty sure that one of the judging criteria in longhorn shows is symmetry and size of horns, along with proper body structure and ability to move.
