I scrape and brush the grill and then rub it down with a rag or paper towel dipped in cooking oil, just like they do on TV cooking shows. Once in a great while, I will take off the grill and give it a better cleaning, cleaning the bottom of the grill.
But no soap and water scrubbing and cleaning for me.
