Potash is probably one of the most important ones... Any small grain that doesnt stand is no good. And hes already very low.


My thought is being low on potash already, I don't think the thought of laying it on quite heavily now, just ahead of the crop, is going to help this crop significantly in overcoming a deficiency. That really needed to be addressed last fall in order to get into the soil solution. Succeeding crops, certainly and better late then never. Maybe K in furrow, if he can swing it, would get him through, but bulk spread? I'm just not so sure. Oats are pretty good at "scavenging ", so I don't think it's a complete lost cause, but it's not an ideal scenario. Anyway, that's how I see it.
