swohio | I spread rye every year on bean stubble, very few flops. Don't run anything over it either. If field is a very wet field I've seen where it will kill the rye, rye never gets a chance to do its thing. Last year had a 14 ac field that I had never got the rye to make it though the winter with rye covering 100%, well it made it though last winter and corn did very well. Follow combine before it rains has worked very well for me. If it mats down chances are not nearly as good, everything behind combine is still fluffed up, get it on before it rains. | |
