I just use straight roundup, and paint around the edge of the cut on bigger trees, paint the whole stump for the little ones ( less than 2") because it's just as easy as trying to just do the outside edge. No need to waste it on the centers of bigger stumps- they don't absorb from the centers, just the edge by the bark.
