Driftless SW Wisconsin

rookiefarms - 3/24/2024 20:08 I’ve been thinking about hanging another set of single disc openers and a splitter on the fertilizer box and trying the 2x2x2 placement. Does this have merit or a waste of time/money? Thanks for the thoughts!

A very good idea if you can fit everything on your planter. Safer than putting same amount in one slot.

I see you are in SW WI. As with all planter fertilizer, watch your planter is not crabbing on side slopes with the seed placed directly over fertilizer. If you've got side slopes maybe slide the openers a bit farther away from the seed.

As with many things, it all depends on how much moisture is there at planting and rain after planting. A good rain right after planting solves many ills.

Good luck.
