Had to look that fellow up. Just because it escaped or was released from a lab doesn't mean it didn't originate in a bat.
The next pandemic will be zoonotic just as the Sars cov1, Sars cov2, ebola, plague and Hiv all have been. We need labs to study these wild viruses to stay up on whatever comes next.
