Subject: RE: working through lunch breaks

Fruita CO
The company my son worked for, Leitner Poma, the ski lift company, built a tramway across the river to Professor Island in New York city. he, being an engineer was considered management, so not allowed to even pick up a screwdriver...the electricians, of course were union guys. they came in at 7, worked until 10, took coffee break, went to lunch at noon for about 1-1/2 to 2 hours, took another break, then went home at 3. After they left, my son would grab his tools & hook up wires for about 2 hours & get more done than the union guys did all day...they didn't seem to mind somebody doing their work for them as long as they didn't see it. He spent all summer in New York, & was glad when that job was over...most of their projects are in someplace like Aspen or Vail.
