Subject: RE: Okoboji Iowa area

NW Iowa
The main thing here is the lakes of course. You might wanna catch a ride on the queen excursion boat or if you’re more adventurous there are ample boats to rent and take your kids tubing, wakeboarding, fishing etc. There’s the amusement park, there’s a county nature center that has some neat things for young kids. There’s a car museum that is worth your time if you like older classic cars. There’s lots of nice restaurants many with afternoon or evening music. The Okoboji Store or the Ritz would be best with kids. The Saturday night concerts in the green space are good and most are free. Okoboji summer theatre has adult plays some evenings and kids plays some days. There’s multiple good beaches. Terrace park and Pikes point are our favorites. There’s a farmers market Saturday mornings in the park that we like. If your wife likes shopping she can check out the emporium and barn swallow. Multiple golf courses Emerald hills and Okoboji Vue are the best. Indian hills is the cheapest.
On a Sunday come to Downtown Church in Milford I guarantee you’ll be inspired and entertained, the worship music is professional quality as well. There’s a multitude of bicycle trails. Between the city of Okoboji and Arnold’s Park the trail goes over an old trestle over the lakes as well as between Arnold’s Park and Milford that one’s not a trestle but a neat bridge again over the lake. There’s a wal mart nearby in Spirit Lake for those things you forgot.
