Subject: RE: Testing a Trimble 162

East Central, Nebraska
i have a 162 on the shelf i bought cheap one time. it has been a while and i would have to think about it for a minute but i am sure i used a program/utility on a computer to program the baud rate and nmea strings to make it work on an ag leader display. as for being guidance unlocked i have heard of that but am not familiar. i viewed it like 262, 372 that has no chance of ever providing anything better than waas. we have a few guidance ready cnh tractors with 372s on them, i thought i had been told that they plug right into them and can be configured but i never seen any reason to try it. as for uses, might be helpful wherever you might need a cheap gps device if configured properly. as i said used it a couple times on ag leader displays for coverage logging with a spreader. ive tried to sell it a couple times and don't think i got any bites ever at $150.
