Earlville, NY | We are right in the path of it where I live, and the hype is ridiculous. Every day all day everywhere for the past month it's being talked about, warned about etc. No school for local districts, warnings about people parking cars everywhere to watch it, special glasses sold out everywhere, etc etc etc. I know that's why I'm sick of it. It's the last one of its specific kind for like a hundred years or something like that. To me, it's not that extraordinary. Saw a full solar eclipse back in mid-90's in college, I was actually taking a welding class at the time, we got to look at it with our welding helmets. Fifteen minutes of something pretty neat, then back to work. Life goes on. | |
