Western-Central Lower Michigan | Being a Navy vet, no way would an officer do anything but shoot a rifle handed to him. It was a photo op, the gun would have been prepared by a "Gunners Mate" enlisted man.
Now would an enlisted man do something to embarrass the "Boss" on purpose? Or would the enlisted man be so inept about handling firearms?
Shipboard sailors dont handle or practice a lot with firearms, about all I remember about firearms is in port, someone stood watch and carried a loaded .45cal side arm to prevent unwanted people from boarding the ship. |
