All I've done is just take a 18" PVC pipe and glued a cap on the bottom of pipe. If I recall that pipe is 10' tall. Then used a 1" brass pitless well adapter to go though side of pipe.

Then used a 1" Robert's brass float valve with short rod and brass plumber's chain from rod to float ball. Used brass S hooks to attach chain. Also used two brass 1" 90° street elbows to turn out of bottom of pittless adapter then attach Robert's valve. I thread a 1" sch. 80 PVC pipe with a cap glued on it for a handle under water to lift valve off pittless fitting to bring out of water if you need to work on float or rod or adjust chain.

Then took a ADS pipe bigger dia. To go over outside, then cemented between the two. If I recall ADS pipe is around 2' to 3' tall. We just set PVC pipe to height we wanted, compacted it, then set ADS. Then poured cement. We made a wood cover to fit PVC while pouring cement.

One Pic is of a old steel pipe we put ADS around, the other is 18" PVC. We have several old ones made out of steel pipe. Worked good for 30+ years. We just welded plate on the bottom of pipes for those.
