ECIL | I retired last year and had a few major projects to do at the farm. This year I don't have any major or immediate things at the farm needing attention. At times I miss the seasonal prep work as well as spring and fall fieldwork. However, I do not miss any of the management aspects. Now I have time during the spring and fall to spend doing things with my wife I wasn't able to before. We can take a trip in May or October if we want, before we couldn't. Weather no longer dictates my plans either. Retirement has been rewarding. Now the only crops I have to put in are in the garden. | |
