In extreme conditions, you might consider watering in halves, to ensure a good stand from the start. It may not be practical in all situations but when it is EXTREMELY hot or windy, it can be better to water and/or plant a 1/2 of a circle at a time. Get 1/2 established, then come back & get the last 1/2 done.
