Agree, generally if an entity taxes something, the market receives less of it.
Speaking for me, big fan of free trade and open markets. The hang up comes when one party has fairly strict environmental regs and the other party has relatively lax regulation to produce a similar product. Not sure what the proper answer is in this case.
