Subject: 480/80r50 vs 620/70r42 on a 9000 Deere tillage tractor

Wisconsin
Our current tillage tractor is a 9360R with 620/70R42's pulling a 30' 8" Deere 2623 disk and a 24' Deere 2410 chisel plow with 12" sweeps. It does fine with the disk, but could use a few more ponies at times with the chisel plow.

I ran across a 9R440 and a 9R490 for sale, but they have 480/80R50's on them. Would I be gaining anything going up in HP, but narrower on tires? I'd assume the larger diameter 50" tires will gain some footprint, but will that be enough to offset the width difference? Just wondering if tractors like this are set up just to pull large planters and grain carts, or will they work ok for my tillage needs?
