I can't tell from here what model sprayer you have but they all have a relief valve built into the system.
If you are getting the right amount of product on, why would you want to change tips. The tips have nothing to do with manifold pressure when the boom valves are closed.
I have had 3 different Hardi sprayers over the years. the way the pump flow is regulated and where the gauge is teed in has changed over the years.
I wouldn't worry about 160 with sections off. At the beginning of the season I always pressure test the plumbing and relief. Seems to me mine will go to about 160 also.
Must be what the relief opens at. Like I said there are different variations depending on model, pump, valves I think there referred to as SPC and SPB style.
