Tie your charger cord in knots. I went through several fencers in a span of 2 years before I did this. Takes about 3 knots to do the job. Current fencer is going on 7 or 8 years without even a blown fuse. The knot disperses the energy field that destroys the fencers before it gets into the fencer. I do this with my home computer and other valuable electronic devices. Just a simple knot does the trick, but takes a minimum of 3. My brother was an electronics guy in the Navy and worked on radars and gun controls and that is what they did to combat energy surges and it works.
