We had a jd front deck with a steering wheel, think it was a 735 maybe. Probably just a matter of opinion, but I’d take levers over steering wheel anytime. Just sit with arms on armrests and flick levers with fingers. Never had a problem running a straight line with sticks at 1/2 speed. We have atv tires on ours and haven’t gotten stuck, but do have to be careful when turning to keep both wheels turning and not just pinwheel around on inside tire.

+1, if you can't drive in a straight line other then full speed ahead you need to change makess.
