My ex wife and her fiancee have one of those ovens. They use it to cook almost everything that is a meat dish anymore. He even did a turkey in it for the Christmas get together.
The food out of those ovens is absolutely great. They do not dry out, the meat is always moist. The cook time is cut drastically over a conventional oven.
I was really pessimistic when they were telling me about what they purchased. Then when he told me how much he laid out for it from the place he bought it I really thought he got the short lil shaft.
Then after eating several different kinds of food they cooked in there..
Well........ Lemme just say, that is one heckuva good product in my eyes.
I havnt' bought one yet. I figure I wait it out and in a few years they'll be on a dollar general shelf for 19.95.
I also cannot comment what sort of a life expectency one can get out of the oven but I give that machine a 2 thumbs up. It really does a nice job and the meat is always done and juicy.
If you really want one, don't let the idea of infared cooking scare you or the idea that they are a joke. They work well. | |
