Colby, KS | Unfortunately, that Scripture is a promise made by God to the nation of Israel. It was not a promise made to those of the Church Age (us). It cannot accurately be extended to the individual beliver today.
I tithe regularly and have still been hailed out/droughted out, etc.
With that being said, tithing is still an applicable practice to believers today. The problem is that it isn't happening. 99% of churches would not have financial problems if the attendees would tithe just the traditional 10% as the Good Book indicates. But tithing does not guarantee the giver success. | |
