Mechanicville, NY | Your gift of flowers should have been accepted gracefully and kindly. Her primary concern seemed to be making a display before other people and impressing them. I would say that is mean, wrong and shallow. And then to be accused of cheating is over the top. It sound slike she ruined a sweet gesture for everyone.
I am far, far from perfect but I have always been glad to receive flowers in any shape or form - from dandelions from my sons when they were little to roses on Valentine's Day - and anywhere too. I don't care what other people think. The whole point is that someone thought enough of me to give me something from their heart.
I hope she apologizes to you. | |
