I've called the store on this issue b/4 myself.  Management can't provide supplemental training or guidance if they aren't aware there's something that needs addressed.   I'm also pretty careful choosing which checkout aisle I use.....watch for the "old timers" who've worked in the store for years and not participate in "training day" if I'm in a hurry.
