Denny, I can identify with your situation. My mother died at 57 when the same artery failed. Her Father died. at 67, when an artery failed in his brain.
With my situation, initially I failed to appreciate the size of the operation. I have a 2 inch opening in the right groin and a micro incision in the left groin. The went into the arteries at this point with a rolled up mesh that they expanded at the points of weakness.
What we do not know is, are there other points of weakness in my arteries, just waiting to let go. Time will tell.
