I'm not sure if you'd be interested or not, but pear chutney (relish) is wonderful! It's great with turkey or pork and I make it often. It has a sweet and tart taste.

Here's the recipe: (per batch)
2 lbs ripe, firm pears - peeled, cored, and diced
1 cup cider vinegar
1 cup packed light brown sugar
l cup diced onion
1 Tblsp minced garlic
1 Tblsp minced fresh ginger (used 2 tsp ground ginger)
1 Tblsp minced fresh jalepeno
! cup dried cherries
Salt and ground pepper

Combine all ingred's in a noncorroding pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper. Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal. I processed my jars in a water bath for ten minutes.
