nw NC
We found a beef roast ( Holstein) in the bottom of our chest freezer a few years ago that had been there for a long time - 16 or 17 years !!! It was wrapped in a couple layers of cling wrap then freezer paper. Thawed it - all lean , no fat cover on it , perfect condition . Cooked it and ate it - delicious. Silo filling help that day ate with us . They said it was really good beef, and tender too. But why shouldn't it be ? After all it was air tight and frozen solid at zero degrees.
