NE SD | Mike, you got it right, this is a laptop and the old HD is toast. It will boot up, and run a small load for a relatively short time but after several hours of running or trying to work it too hard it gets real unstable and starts to lock up on me. I have an external HD sitting here, so all I'd do is move the files onto that and then re-install the new HD. I don't feel like tearing the case apart to in install it somewhere else. Nice little deal all I have to do is remove one screw and it slides out the side. There was an adapter to make the HD's work with this particular notebook. | |
